Farmington, MO (KSDK) - An explosion leveled the post office in St. Francois County early Saturday morning.
No one was hurt in the explosion, which occurred at 12:45 a.m. on State Highway 221.
A powerful storm was rolling through the area at the time of the blast. A car parked in front of the building was also destroyed.
The Missouri Fire Marshal's Office, the ATF, and the U.S. Postal Service are investigating, but have not determined the cause of the explosion.
Doe Run is located about five miles west of Farmington and 90 minutes south of St. Louis.
