O'Fallon, IL (KSDK) - Two elderly women died Thursday following an accident involving a passenger car and flatbed construction truck.
The crash happened just after 12 p.m. at the intersection of Green Mount Road and Cambridge Boulevard, according to Officer Jeff Meyer, a spokesman for the O'Fallon Police Department.
The car was turning left off Cambridge to go southbound on Green Mount Road when it was struck by the flatbed.
The victims were identified as 70-year-olds Marilyn Wilkin and Carolyn Bromley.
Meyer said the investigation is ongoing.
