This house gets over three thousand visitors a year.
The Frank Lloyd Wright house in Ebsworth Park is located at 120 N. Ballas Road in Kirkwood. Frank Lloyd Wright built this house for Ruth and Russell Kraus from 1951 to 1955. The Kraus house is based on a parallelogram and is one of the most geometrically complex that Wright ever designed.
There are only 2, 90 degree angles in this whole house, and they are in the bathroom. There are parallelograms from the floor to the ceiling. This house was designed for middle income Americans so Wright made the kitchen small and compact.
Mr.Kraus designed all of the stained glass you'll see on the windows.
There are two rooms which tour guides save for the end. They call them the big surprise, yeah we can't show them to you either, you'll have to take a tour to find out why!
There is a benefit party happening at the Frank Lloyd Wright House in Ebsworth Park on Sunday June 5th from two to five P-m. Erin Bode will perform at three. For more info on the benefit or to set up a tour head to www.ebsworthpark.org
