More than $2,371,633.09 was raised.  Seventy-five percent of the money raised stays in St. Louis to fund screening, treatment, education and support programs.  The remaining 25 percent goes to the national Susan G. Komen for the Cure Grants Program.

Davis and Jane Payne and Cam Janssen of the St. Louis Blues served as honorary co-chairs of the 13th annual Susan G. Komen St. Louis Race for the Cure.

Forty-nine hundred survivors took part in the survivor procession before the Race for the Cure.  After they marched, 'American Idol' contestant Tim Halperin sang his song "We Fight Back."

Halperin said he wrote the song because someone he knew in college was diagnosed with breast cancer. Halperin has been traveling around the country singing the song at Komen events.
