Breese, IL (KSDK) - A local family is making a plea for help to find a relative missing now for eight weeks.
Vincent Wesselmann of Breese, Illinois was last seen the Thursday or Friday before Easter. No one has seen or talked to him since.
Police have had very few leads in the case and say investigators have mostly had to rely on a couple witnesses who believe they saw him.
They said Wesselmann, 75, was walking near a grain company alone around noon. Wesselman's sister said he didn't carry credit cards or a cell phone, adding it's completely out of his character to just disappear.
A $1,000 reward is being offered by the Breese Police Department and CrimeStoppers. For now they say foul play is not believed to be a factor but it's also not being ruled out.
