Collinsville, IL (KSDK) - The Illinois Department of Transportation has made a number of closures due to flooding brought on by heavy rainfall.

Illinois Route 100 in Grafton was closed Friday, as were the Brussels Ferry and Water Street in Chester.

Motorists will have to use IL 3, IL 109 and IL 16 as detours to get around the IL 100 closure. Access to Grafton, Elsah, Chautauqua and Beltress is available via IL 3.

Flooding has required closure of state highways and ferries along the Illinois and Mississippi rivers.
