St. Louis (KSDK) - A recent survey paints a troubling picture for hospital patients in need of medication: It might not be there when a doctor prescribes it.
That's according to the American Hospital Association. The group says more than 99% of hospitals have experienced one or more drug shortage in the past six months, and nearly half have reported 21 or more shortages in that time.
Now experts are calling it one of the worst drug shortages in history.
