St. Louis Symphony holding free outdoor concert

St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - Bring your lawn chairs and picnic blankets to Forest Park this Thursday evening as the St. Louis Symphony hosts a free concert at Art Hill to kick off its 132nd season.

The symphony will perform a program highlighting the upcoming 2011-2012 season, with works from Beethoven, Mahler and Strauss, as well as musical scores from the films West Side Story, Mary Poppins and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.

The concert starts at 7 p.m. and will be followed by a fireworks display.  You can view the full program on the St. Louis Symphony's website.

Founded in 1880, the St. Louis Symphony is the second-oldest country in the United States.
