St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - Two airmen from the Missouri Air National Guard rappelled down the side of the 19-story Four Seasons Hotel in downtown St. Louis Friday afternoon to raise money for charity.
Staff sergeants Mike Lay and Tim Reynolds will participate in the "Over the Edge" rappelling fundraiser for the Special Olympics after each man raised at least $1,000. Both Lay and Reynolds are stationed with the 131st Security Forces Squadron at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport.
The Missouri Army and Air National Guard is an official sponsor of the Special Olympics.
"Over the Edge" fundraising events are taking place in St. Louis, Kansas City and Jefferson City. All proceeds from the St. Louis event will benefit more than 7,000 Special Olympic athletes.
