(WCAU) -- Being single can be tough, but now there's a new service that will make your friends think you're taken, thanks to a text messaging service.
You can carry on a non-existent relationship with the help of technology. Add "Fake Girlfriend's" number to your phone and text her whatever you'd like. She'll respond with a series of loving messages. Every time you talk to her, she responds.
It's unlimited and will make it appear to your friends that you've got a girlfriend.
The designer of the new text messaging service said the goal is to avoid embarrassment as a single guy.
Therapist George James helps people deal with their social anxieties and said being single in a group of taken friends can be tough. James said he doesn't see anything wrong with the service, but the relationship can't last forever.
Using Fake Girlfriend won't cost users anything more than a text message, for now. The maker said he is hoping to keep it free and is looking for ways to expand the service.
You can try out Fake Girlfriend by visiting fakegirlfriend.co.
