No surprise at catcher.  Both Yadier Molina and Gerald Laird are on the roster.  In the infield, Daniel Descalso makes the list, along with starters David Freese, Rafael Furcal and Albert Pujols.  Who will start at second base is anyone's guess, as La Russa has elected to keep Nick Punto, Ryan Theriot and Skip Schumaker on the roster.  Schumaker, you may remember was not on the NLCS roster after suffering an injury in Game 5 of the divisional series against the Phillies.

The Cardinals will carry four outfielders in Matt Holliday, Allen Craig, Lance Berkman and Jon Jay.  Speedy defensive reserve Adron Chambers will not be elegible for the series.
