Fenton, Missouri (KSDK) - Jefferson County authorities continue to investigate how a teenage employee working as a 'live character prop' accidentally injured herself late Thursday night.
The 17 year old girl was serving as an actor at the Creepy World haunted house on Highway 141 near Fiedler Lane in Fenton when she reportedly got caught up in a noose that was being used to depict the character's demise.
The name of the victim has not been disclosed but she is listed in critical condition at the hospital.
Deputies are still working to determine exactly what occurred.
Patrons and other workers at the seasonal business alerted authorities to the incident which occurred around 8:45 p.m. Thursday.
