St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - A local middle school receives a special honor from the St. Louis Board of Aldermen.
De La Salle Middle School received a proclamation from the board on its 10th anniversary.
The Catholic school is not affiliated with the St. Louis Archdiocese. It's funded through foundations, organizations and corporations as well as tuition.
The school, located in the Ville neighborhood, serves students in sixth, seventh and eighth grades.
Ninety- two percent of the students qualify for the federal Free and Reduced Lunch program.
