Madison County, IL (KSDK) - Two men were charged Monday with three felony charges of residential burglary.
Between October and November 2011, officers investigated three residential burglaries in rural areas south of Troy, Illinois.
The burglaries involved forced entry to unoccupied homes, and televisions, electronics, firearms and jewelry was taken.
After an investigation, authorities arrested 26-year-old John T. Hitch of Collinsville, and 21-year-old Christopher J. Bugg of Caseyville.
The investigation resulted in the recovery of several firearms, a flat screen television, and jewelry stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Troy O'Fallon Road.
Heroin has been identified as the driving force behind the burglaries.
Bond has been set at $150,000.
