Jefferson County, Mo (KSDK) - A 41-year-old man died and a 30-year-old woman was seriously injured in a crash in Jefferson County.
The Missouri Highway Patrol said the driver, Newton Aldridge, of Bloomsdale, died at the scene and his passenger was taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center in an ambulance.
Missouri Highway Patrol Cpl. Jeff Wilson said the car was northbound on I-55 when it lost control and it hit a guard rail, near Route TT Thursday morning.
Initially, Cpl. Wilson said the accident happened around 8:00 a.m. at I-55 at Highway 61. He later called back to confirm the accident was near Route TT in Jefferson County.
