Webster University vandalism results in Hazmat response

Webster Groves, MO (KSDK) - The St. Louis County Hazardous Materials Emergency Response Team was called to investigate a strange substance found inside a building on Webster University's campus Monday morning.

School authorities said an act of vandalism occurred over the weekend involving an unknown substance on the ground floor of Webster Hall.  The Webster Groves Police Department contacted the hazmat team as a precaution.

The substance was determined to be non-toxic.  No one was evacuated.

No other information has been made public. The investigation is ongoing.
