(KOB) -- Arrested and jailed for a DWI, Steven Slevin spent two years in solitary confinement in Dona Ana County in New Mexico until the charges were eventually dismissed.
From day one, Slevin says he pleaded for medical help to treat his depression.
His requests were ignored.
He even told reporters a story about pulling his own tooth because they refused to let him see a dentist.
He never saw a judge on his DWI charge, but has now received $22-million for inhumane treatment while at the Dona Ana County Jail.
