St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - The St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission is not happy that the Rams franchise will be making trips "across the pond" to play games in London, England over the next three NFL seasons.
The CVC issued a brief statement Friday saying the Rams' lease with the group requires the team play all their home games in the Edward Jones Dome.
The St. Louis Rams will play the New England Patriots in London's Wembley Stadium on October 28 at noon CST. The game will be carried on CBS. The Rams will serve as the home team for the contest.
The Rams signed an agreement to play "home games" in London for the 2013 and 2014 seasons.
The CVC said it contacted the Rams regarding this apparent violation of the lease and is awaiting a reply.
NewsChannel 5 reached out to the Rams for a response to the St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission's claims, but has yet to hear from them.
