St. Louis (KSDK) -- The Missouri Department of Transportation will hold a public information meeting on plans to expand I-270.
The planned construction is aimed at relieving congestion during rush hour.
During construction, the lane width will be reduced from 12-feet to 11-feet.
When MoDOT expanded I-64, they also reduced the lane width on I-44 to accommodate another lane.
MoDOT announced last week that it wants to improve traffic flow between Interstate 44 and Manchester Road by adding an additional northbound lane between I-44 and Manchester and another southbound lane between Dougherty Ferry and I-44.
If you would like to weigh-in on the plans, the meeting is from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Lodge Des Peres at 1050 Des Peres Road in Des Peres.
