St. Louis (KSDK) - Their practices are tough. Beating Incarnate Word is even tougher.
"We can do anything we put our minds to. We're willing to take on anybody at anytime," says Teesha Deloach.
They beat their rival St. Joseph's Academy for the second time this year a week ago. The reaction afterwards said it all. "I think I lost my hearing," said Nia Roth.
Dan Rolfes has led Incarnate to 3 of their 6 Final Fours and won the State Title 3 of the 4 times in school history. There's an expectation when you play for the Red Knights.
"Playing here boosts your confidence and makes you become the better player you need to be," says Deloach.
They have the ability to play big with Taylor Manuel inside or kick out when they have an open shot.
"We're blessed with both Teesha and Nia they can obviously break the press and handle the ball on the perimeter and then we can jam it down low inside to Taylor," says Rolfes.
Incarnate Word is the number one ranked team in the state and our team of the week.
