Eureka, MO (KSDK)- Six Flags St. Louis is looking to fill 3,000 positions over the course of the 2012 season and will host a series of job fairs for interested applicants.

On Saturday, many people showed up to take advantage of the opportunity.

"Total number of people who have applied for positions is already 50 percent over last year," said Adam Loredo, the director of Human Resources at Six Flags.

Loredo says he is also noticing more adults are applying for jobs at the park.

The theme park is promising competitive wagers, flexible hours, benefits packages and a variety of different jobs, ranging from entry level to seasonal management. Specific jobs available at Six Flags include ride operations, food service, lifeguards, cashiers, landscapers, front gate ticket takers, medical services personnel, security officers, marketing/sales internships, as well as finance and retail positions.

Benefits include unlimited admission for employees and free passes for friends and family, a 401K, scholarship opportunities and more.

The Six Flags VIP Job Fairs are slated for Saturdays, February 4, 11 and 25 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the park's human resources office.
