Columbia, MO (KSDK) - This afternoon, the University of Missouri will test its emergency text message and email system.
At 1:50 p.m. today, students, faculty, and staff who have registered their cell phone numbers will receive a message that reads, "This is a test of the MU emergency notification system on 2/7/2012. This is only a test. Please reply 'Received.'" The same message will also be sent to university email accounts.
Everyone who receives the message should acknowledge receipt. Faculty, staff, or students who don't receive the message should register their phone numbers on the MU Online Emergency Information Center.
