Collinsville High School students complete TheBANK of Edwardsville Financial Literacy Program

Collinsville, IL (KSDK) - More than 40 students at Collinsville High School are the first to complete a new financial program in Illinois.

The state of Illinois, along with TheBANK of Edwardsville, Everfi and public high schools in Madison and St. Clair counties, introduced a new course on personal finance and economics in the 2011-2012 school year. The Financial Literacy Program was launched in September to help teach students the core concepts of financial literacy.

The Collinsville High School students are the first to successfully complete the course. They were recognized in a ceremony at the high school on Wednesday.

All incoming public high school students will be required to complete the program in order to graduate.
