Maplewood, MO (KSDK) - The St. Louis County Medical Examiner's has ruled last November's death of a convicted art thief a homicide.
The medical examiner and police will not say just how Donald Rasch was killed.
Rasch, 50, was found unconscious in his home in the 2500 block of Bredell Avenue on November 12. He died at a hospital on November 16.
The medical examiner made the homicide ruling after examining Rasch's brain.
Rasch was sentenced to two years in prison in 2005 after he and a co-conspirator stole 133 pieces of artwork valued at $4 million in June 2002. In 2007, he pleaded guilty in a case involving stolen art in Bridgeton.
