St. Louis (KSDK) - A local sorority is helping two St. Louis brothers find bone marrow donors.

Sean and Patrick Murry were both born with Diamond Blackfan Anemia, and have required monthly blood transfusions.

Sean, 21, and Patrick, 17, inserted needles into their legs each evening to allow a pump to provide medicine over a 12 hour period to offset the problem of iron build up, but the iron has continued to build. Each now has to use a dialysis machine every day.

The Kappa Delta sorority at Saint Louis University, along with the MIRT Club, is hosting an event called "Get Swabbed" to help find the Murrys bone marrow donors.

The event is Thursday, February 23 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on the main campus at the Simon Recreation Center in the Smart Classroom on the main floor.

The group will also set up a drive location on the SLU Med Campus - Daisy College of Health Science.
