Edwardsville, Ill (KSDK) -- A bus driver who had a heart attack while transporting students four days ago died from her condition.
Madison County Coroner Stephen P. Nonn said Pamela Crump, 60, died at Anderson Hospital Tuesday night.
Crump was transporting students to the high school when she felt short of breath and chest pains at 6:50 a.m. February 17. She pulled the bus off the side of the road at St. Louis and Myrtle streets in Edwardsville.
Crump contacted her dispatcher for help while students helped her and called 911.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and Crump went into cardiac arrest. She was taken to Anderson Hospital for treatment.
