Grand Forks, ND (KVLY/CNN) - It turns out a flight from Grand Forks, North Dakota to Minneapolis was canceled Sunday because the only flight attendant was allegedly drunk.

Police say a passenger notified the pilots about the woman's condition before takeoff in Grand Forks.

A police officer responded and says she failed field sobriety tests.

They say she couldn't get through the alphabet or spell her own name.

The blood alcohol content for the 51-year-old woman turned out to be twice the legal limit for driving in North Dakota and Minnesota.

Police say it was not a criminal matter, so they didn't arrest her.

Pinnacle Airlines says the worker was relieved of her duties without pay, pending further investigation by the airline and the Federal Aviation Administration.
