St. Louis (KSDK) -- Three St. Louis animal care organizations launched a website to help residents who have lost their pet or found a stray animal.
The Humane Society of Missouri, the Animal Protection Association of Missouri and St. Louis County Animal Care and Control created STLLostPets.org.
The website's mission is to reunite as many owners with their lost animals as possible and to encourage responsible pet ownership practices, such as spaying/neutering, proper vaccination and care, and microchipping.
StlLostPets.org's free databases are updated once per hour. The website includes photos and details of found pets and resources for submitting information about lost or stray animals.
