St. Louis (KSDK) -- If you have a smart phone and have been wishing that its capabilities were faster, like for watching a video and listening to music, that wish might have come true overnight.
AT&T launched 4G LTE in St. Louis Wednesday.
If you discovered an LTE symbol on your phone today, then you can search the Internet at a faster speed than before. You also don't have to wait for YouTube videos to buffer. Think of it as a faster way to use your phone or tablet while you are on the go.
4G LTE is up to 10 times faster than 3G speeds. The VP and GM of AT&T demonstrated how 4G LTE works on Today in St. Louis.
Verizon Wireless launched 4G LTE in the St. Louis metropolitan area over a year ago.
