Bridgeport, CT (WFSB) -- It wasn't your average "show and tell" day at a Bridgeport, Connecticut school.
A five-year-old boy showed up at this elementary school with his step dad's jacket, all set for the big display in class. Imagine the teacher's surprise when the child pulled out 50 bags of heroin.
The teacher quickly removed the drugs.
The stepfather - 35-year-old Santos Roman - later showed up at the school frantically searching for his jacket. He found it empty in the classroom, where cops were waiting for him.
Residents are shocked.
"What if my granddaughter saw the coat in the closet and something fell out of the pocket and she was inquisitive about it and put it in her mouth?" asked one resident.
"That father shouldn't be having that stuff in the house. Especially with a 5-year old - He needs to put that away get that out of the house away from them kids," said another resident.
Roman is charged with risk of injury to a minor, sale of narcotics and possession of narcotics within 15-hundred feet of a school.
