St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch is giving Cardinals fans a chance to take advantage of some of the best parking spots available near Busch Stadium - for free.
The hotel is offering complimentary parking at 150 metered spots on Market Street (between Broadway and 11th Street), Chestnut Street (between 4th and 7th streets), 7th Street (between Market and Walnut streets) and 8th Street (between Market and Walnut streets).
The meters will be marked with blue Hyatt-branded covers and will be free to use between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Friday, April 13.
This is the third straight year Hyatt has secured free parking meters near Busch Stadium.
In other parking meter related news, the St. Louis City Treasurer's Office said it would offer parking meter amnesty for select spaces after 2:15 p.m.
The metered spaces where overtime parking will not be enforced area located in downtown St. Louis bordered by Chouteau, Olive, 14th Street and the Mississippi River.
All other regulations regarding yellow curbs, bus stops, posted signs and disability parking will be enforced.
Mayor Francis Slay's office said Thursday that all paid parking lots will be required to have an attendant on duty during events. That rule was put in place last fall in order to create more cooperation between the city, parking lot owners and the police department.
