St. Charles, MO (KSDK) - The City of St. Charles is looking for a new police chief.
According to a city spokesman, Dennis Corley resigned to pursue other interests. His last day was Sunday. Corley received a $59,000 severance package.
The St. Charles Police Officers Association took a vote of no confidence against Corley a month ago.
Neither the city nor the police officers association or city leaders would comment on the no confidence vote.
Corley lead the department for nearly five years.
Major Ed Mitchell will lead the department while the city conducts a nationwide search for a replacement.
