Creve Coeur, MO (KSDK) - A crane operator and another crewman were treated Thursday morning before noon after a crane collapse outside Mercy Hospital.
A Mercy Hospital spokeswoman said the crane was part of a crew working on the hospital's cooling system. The crew works for McCarthy Building Companies, Inc.
The crane toppled while it was being moved but fortunately wasn't carrying a payload.
Both crewmembers were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
A spokesperson for McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. said the company was investigating events surrounding the accident to make sure all safety measures were followed.
