St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - Detectives with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department are investigating a double shooting in North St. Louis that resulted in the death of a 44-year-old.
According to police, officers responded to the 5700 block of Vivian around 11:25 p.m. Tuesday after receiving reports of gunshots near Calvary Cemetery.
The victim, identified as Kevin Banks, was struck in the head and knee. He was taken to an area hospital and later pronounced dead.
A second victim, 41, was grazed in the hip by a bullet. He was treated at the scene and refused further medical treatment.
During the investigation, police officers discovered the victims were involved in an altercation with multiple individuals earlier in the day.
Three persons of interest have been identified and police are attempting to locate them.
The investigation is ongoing.
