ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - The heavy rain, wind and hail left all kinds of damage and destruction all across the bi-state. The Better Business Bureau wants to remind you of a few tips before you begin home repairs and dealing with conractors, including:
•Seek at least three bids
•Ask whether the contractor meets licensing and bonding requirements
•Read and understand the contract before signing.
•Remember the rule of thirds. Pay one third at the start of the project, one third when work is 50 percent completed and one third after completion.
