St. Louis (KSDK) - It doesn't matter how old you are making new friends is always a bit of an adventure, especially a little later in life.
"Wherever I moved before I had kids, kids open your doors," said Robin Spears, a member of New Neighbors League of St. Louis.
Thankfully, New Neighbors League is a club that can help open doors.
"I don't know what I would have done without it, I really don't, it's been great," said Lynne Strasser, another member.
"I came in June and was bowling and golfing by August," added Spears.
You see New Neighbors allows women from all over to connect. For the record, not all activities are this ambitious, well as long as you don't sign up for the adventure group.
"My husband will say to me 'so what are doing today hon? You going to go play bunko and then go to book club?'" Spears joked.
So the list of activities is long and the friendships become strong.
"When I came I knew nobody. I went to a coffee and met 20 or 30 other ladies and we were in the same boat," explained Strasser.
So if you're new to town and just sort of hanging all alone know that there are women out there who want to make the whole thing a little easier.
New Neighbors League does a monthly coffee and a monthly luncheon where you can learn more about the organization. Click here to learn more.
