Saugus, MA (WCVB/CNN) - Police are investigating a double homicide after two bodies were found behind a Boston-area elementary school.
"It would be appropriate to comment at this point in time on the conditions of the bodies other to say there are obvious signs of foul play," said Jonathan Blodgett, District Attorney of Essex County.
NewsCenter 5 has learned the victims suffered stab wounds to the throat. They are 54-year-old Donna Breau and her mother, who is in her 80s.
"They're doing their best to process the scene and come to some way of identifying what happened and how it happened," said Blodgett.
The victims were found behind Lynnhurst Elementary School. The discovery was made by a worker.

"Yes it is right in front of my own house in Saugus, yes it is," said the unidentified worker.
The murders of the longtime residents of Sheridan Street is a stunner in their neighborhood.
"They're awesome, they've lived here all their lives, as well as I, Donna's daughter was living there and she moved out, and Donna's son was living there, and like I said they were both very sick, Donna and, the police were being very tight-lipped about it," said an unidentified neighbor.
A spokeswoman for the D.A.'s office says autopsies will take place Wednesday.
