St. Louis (KSDK) - Are you sick of going to the doctor?
If so, the doctor could soon come to you
Mercy Children's Hospital is rolling out a new program that allows patients in smaller cities, like Springfield, to see pediatric specialists, like a neurologist, without having to make the trip to St. Louis.
The program is called telemedicine and it allows doctors to have follow-up visits with patients via video and an internet connection.
Parents say the new program takes so much of the stress out of an already difficult appointment.
Mercy hopes to roll out the telemedicine program to other pediatric specialties in the next few months.
