Albany, NY (CNN) -- President Obama got a lesson in the importance of "little things" today.
The president toured the University of Albany/State University of New York at Albany 's NanoTech Complex.
Students at the high-tech school explore the design of tools and tiny chips for computers, information storage and sharing.
Later, the college served as a backdrop for the president's speech on the economy.
The president is urging Congress to pass legislation to keep student loan rates low.
He says students should be focused on innovation and creation not burdened with how to pay for school.
