St. Clair County, Ill (KSDK) -- Several agencies are investigating six suspicious fires in Freeburg, Illinois and in unincorporated surrounding areas.
St. Clair County Sheriff Mearl Justus said the fires happened between April 23 and May 9, with three happening on May 7. Five of the fires burned sheds. The Freeburg Township Building and a barn were also damaged in fires.
The first happened at different times of the day and in areas considered rural. The buildings are located away from houses, but near roads.
Law enforcement want the public to alert them to any suspicious activity. Anyone with information is asked to contact CrimeStoppers at 1-866-371-TIPS.
