Manchester, CT (WTNH/CNN) - Law enforcement agents swarmed the home of a reputed Connecticut mobster looking for hidden treasure.
Robert Gentile is being held on federal drug and weapons charges.
Investigators using bloodhounds, beagles and radar equipment are reportedly looking for weapons in the 75-year-old's yard.
Gentile's lawyer says they're looking for paintings.
The FBI has reportedly linked Gentile to the 1990 theft of 13 masterpieces from Boston's Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum.
The stolen pieces by Rembrandt, Vermeer, Degas and Manet are worth about half-a-billion dollars.
Neighbors say they had no idea there was anything out of the ordinary going on, until recently.
"He's an old guy. If he knows, I don't think he's going to say anything. It's not like there's mobsters running up and down my street like it's an exciting place to be. We had no idea. We didn't even know he was arrested until a couple months afterwards," said neighbor Joe O'Reilly.
Several weapons were found at the home during this latest search.
Gentile's lawyer says his client had nothing to do with the art heist.
