St. Louis County, MO (KSDK) - A 47-year-old fire captain died after responding to a fire where a teen was rescued, the Kinloch Fire Protection District said Friday.
Captain/Engineer Richard Parks suffered what's being called a "medical emergency" and died at the fire house in Kinloch.
Richard Parks, 47, had just returned from aiding in the rescue of a 16-year-old in a fire.
Parks joined the Kinloch Fire Protection District as a junior member of the district and became a firefighter at age 18.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Kriegshauser Mortuary in Olivette.
