Oakville (KSDK)--The Point Elementary school principal ticketed for indecency in Forest Park will not return to work.
James Walters had been on paid suspension since shortly after the March 16th incident where a park ranger claimed he saw Walters grab his genitals while talking to a person in a car.
Walters calls the incident a misunderstanding. He has pleaded not guilty to charges of "lewd and indecent conduct." The case is scheduled to go to trial on July 26th.
Mehlville School District Superintendent Dr. Eric Knost sent a letter home to parents over the weekend saying Walters would not return to work, but did not say whether he left voluntarily or was fired. The search for his replacement is underway.
