(KNSD) -- The Do Not Call List started nearly 10 years ago, back when people had high hopes that it should stop aggressive telemarketers from calling during dinner.
The lists seemed to work at first, but some consumers say the list is being ignored by some companies.

If you are on the National Do Not Call List and you are still getting calls from telemarketers, you can submit a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission.
The exceptions to the Do Not Call List are charities, surveys, political campaigns and companies that have a direct business relationship with you.
