St. Louis County, MO (KSDK) - The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office has charged a second person in connection with last weekend's robbery and murder of an Imo's Pizza delivery driver.
According to Sgt. Bob Kelly, a spokesman for the Hillsdale Police Department, the incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. May 19 in the 2100 block of Erick Avenue.
Police said someone ordered a pizza from Imo's earlier that night. When the delivery driver arrived at the location given to Imo's, he was robbed and shot. The driver, identified as 22-year-old Daniil Maksimenko, died at the hospital that night.
Twenty-year-old Shermell Crockett was taken into custody Tuesday, May 22 and charged with one count of second-degree murder, one count of first-degree robbery and two counts of armed criminal action. He remains jailed on $500,000 cash-only bond.
The first suspect, 20-year-old Chester Woods, was apprehended on May 20. Woods was charged Monday, May 21 with second-degree murder and first-degree robbery. He's been jailed on $250,000 bond.
Police said they are searching for two additional suspects connected to the robbery and murder.
