(CNN) - A new survey says you can expect to pay more for electricity.
About 500 utility executives weighed in for the survey by a consulting and construction firm.
More than 90 percent said people can expect their monthly power bills to go up.
About half of them said the bills would rise "significantly."
That means bills going up about 10 percent or so.
They blame rules requiring the use of more renewable energy and mandating a cut in pollution from coal-fired power plants.
The executives also predict an emphasis on solar power and a surge in electric cars.
They expect electric cars will use seven-percent of the nation's power supply by 2025.
