St. Peters, MO (KSDK) - Police want your help in tracking down a serial robber who's struck at least five stores in the last five weeks.

Now they're releasing the first surveillance images of him.

The masked man struck the St. Peters Check 'N Go early on the morning of May 5, robbing the cashier and a customer at gunpoint.

Those that work next door thought, at first, it must have been an inside job.

"Then when he hit several places throughout the next several weeks, you say well it's a different situation," said Jim Rose.

Over the next month, police believe the same man robbed this Burger King in Richmond Heights, then Check 'N Go's in Bridgeton and north St. Louis County and a Mattress Firm store in south St. Louis County.

After the first incident, police didn't have much to go on. But the more crimes the guy committed, the more clues he seemed to leave behind.

Among them, the first images of his face taken outside a store, before he put on his ski mask and the first surveillance pictures of his car, which appears to be a black or dark Chevy Trailblazer.

St. Peters police hope someone can identify him.

"We really feel like if this is your neighbor or a family member or a co-worker, you're going to recognize who he is," said Officer Melissa Doss.

No one has been injured in any of the five robberies so far and police want to keep it that way.

"We're looking that he's probably going to hit another store soon. So we would like to get him off the road as soon as possible," said Doss.

Those that work nearby are confident they will.

"All the video cameras, he'll get caught," said Rose.

Anyone with information is asked to call St. Peters police at 636-278-2222 or you can call CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS.
