South St. Louis (KSDK)- A man who tried to flee a gunman following a dispute over money, died after being shot multiple times in the back Thursday night.
St. Louis Police say the 38 year old victim and another man were outside a home in the 3500 block of Tennessee just after 9:00 p.m. when they began arguing.
One of the men pulled a gun and the other man began to run away. The armed man began shooting, striking the victim several times.
The gunman then fled the scene according to witnesses and the man who was shot fell to the ground where arriving police officers located him.
The victim was pronounced dead of his injuries a short time later. His name is being withheld while his family can all be notified.
