Okaloosa County, FL (WEAR/CNN) - Matt Willingham, captain of the shrimp boat "Michele Dawn" caught the leg in his net on Wednesday night in Choctawhatchee Bay.

Fred Robinson from Crestview contacted Willingham after seeing the story on the news.

Robinson says his leg came off when he jumped into the water on Crab Island, Memorial Day weekend.

Willingham says at first he thought he found a body.

"Winding the tail bag in and looked over there to dump the tail bag, and it was hanging out the turtle chutes. Reached down there, picked it up and put it on the boat. Thought I had a body. A piece of a body," said Willingham.

Robinson got his prosthetic leg back Friday.

He says it's worth $30,000.
