Homestead, FL (WSVN/CNN) - Police in South Florida made a disturbing discovery behind a Miami-Dade home. A woman's body was found in a garbage bag.
Now, investigators want to know who wanted the victim dead.
It's a mystery on Northwest Seventh Avenue in Homestead, Florida. Who is the woman found next to a truck, and how did she get there?
Those are the questions Miami-Dade homicide investigators are trying to figure out.
"I see a lot of people hanging out that are a little creepy and you don't know what they're going to do," said Diane Rodriguez.
A black female was found in a plastic bag early Monday. The man who lives in the home near where the body was found didn't want to appear on camera, but tells Seven News his green truck was stolen on Sunday and when he went out to check on it he discovered the woman's body.
The murder has left parents in the area on edge.
"The crime, the drug dealing they are having here, I just don't like it, and I have kids, and I can't raise my kids like that," said Sally Garcia.
Miami-Dade police will not say if the woman had identification on her or what injuries, if any, she had on her body.
Only once their questions are answered will the community be put at ease.
